"You don't need talent anymore."
A new AI company just launched a record label with a shocking message for artists.
Hey friends, Seth here from Tribly.
It's great to be back in your inbox for our seventh newsletter installment!
For anyone new, I'm a musician who got tired of algorithms controlling our careers, so I built Tribly to put artists back in charge.
Our goal is to share insights that help you build a sustainable music career on your own terms.
Let's get into it.

📣 AI Music Videos Are Here. And It's What We Feared.
You may have heard of Higgsfield AI, they've been in the AI video space for a while.
But now, they've launched a new music vertical with a disgusting call to action that should concern every real artist.
They've launched their own label, Higgsfield Records, and their first AI-generated artist, KION, who has supposedly secured $50M in "contracts" over the next three years.
That's more money than 99.9% of human artists will see in a lifetime, and frankly, it's an insult.
And their recruitment message is even worse.
They are actively looking for people to front their next AI artists with the tagline: "You don't need talent anymore. Your face is enough."
This is a direct attack on the craft, skill, and dedication that defines you as an artist.

I recorded a video with my full thoughts on this.

✨ Tribly: Your Defense Against Devaluation
While companies like Higgsfield are going the fully artificial route, now is the time to zag in the other direction.
There is NO replacement for real, human connection.
This AI-generated content may look cool, but it will never create real fans. People are fans of other people, not this AI BS.
Now is the time to double down on your humanity and authenticity as an artist.
That's what Tribly is for. It's not about feeding an algorithm; it's about building a direct, authentic connection with the people who love your music.
We help you build your own fan list, giving you a direct line to the people who will buy your merch, come to your shows, and support your career for the long haul.
That's how you build something real.
🚀 Product Update: Future Saves Just Got Easier
We've rolled out a major improvement to our "Future Save Swap" feature.
Previously, to apply your banked "forever pre-saves" to a new song, you had to create a brand new pre-save swap. Now, we've simplified the process.
Right from your Future Save Swap, you'll see a new "Apply to Next Release" button. Just click it, enter your new release details, and all your banked future saves will be instantly applied. No new swap required!

💡 This Week's Featured Swaps
This week, we're featuring some awesome artists using Tribly to build real connections:
Brad Johnson shared his swap in the description of his new YouTube video, "Love Your Voice!", giving fellow DIY musicians a list of game-changing vocal plugins.

Charlie Powers is building hype for his new single "bad bad bad" with a compelling studio timelapse on Instagram, using a swap to drive streams.

That's a wrap. Keep creating real art and connecting directly with your fans.
Your work has value. You deserve to control it.
