Hey friends, Seth here from Tribly.
We are officially entering the "Crimbo Limbo." It is that weird time of year between Thanksgiving and New Year's where the industry slows down, emails stop getting answered, and it feels like the whole world is on pause.
Most artists use this time to unplug. But for us, this is the biggest opportunity to get ahead.
While everyone else is waiting for New Year's resolutions to kick in, you can be building the infrastructure for your biggest year yet. If you are looking at 2026 and wondering how to break through the noise, you do not need a viral moment. You need a concrete plan.
Let's dive in..

🏗️ The 2026 Pre-Season Action Plan
Here is the 3-step strategy I am recommending to every artist right now to set up 2026.
1. Stop relying on social media reach We all know the frustration. You spend hours creating the perfect video, hit post, and the platform only shows it to 10% of your followers.
The reality is simple: On Instagram and TikTok, you do not control who sees your content. The algorithm is in charge. If they change how it works tomorrow, you lose access to the audience you worked hard to build.
The Fix: Stop optimizing for "followers" and start optimizing for contact info. A follower count is just a vanity metric. A phone number is a guaranteed way to reach a fan who actually wants to hear your music.
2. Review your 2025 analytics You do not need to guess what to post in January. Go back through your social media insights for the last 12 months. Find the top 3 videos or posts that actually connected.
The Fix: Analyze why they worked. Was it the song hook? The caption? The video style? In Q1, do not try to reinvent your brand. Just double down on the specific things that already worked for you this year.
3. Set up a way to collect data You cannot keep your fans if you do not have a place to put them. You need a dedicated way to move people off social media and onto a list that you own.
The Fix: Before you drop your first song of 2026, make sure you have a link set up that does more than just send people to Spotify. You need a page where fans can trade their contact info for something valuable. This could be an unreleased demo, early access to merch, or a behind-the-scenes video.

✨ Where Tribly Fits In
This is where we come in as part of your wider setup. Tribly is not the whole strategy, but it is the essential tool that handles Step 3.
While you focus on creating the content, Tribly gives you the infrastructure to collect fan data and reach them directly. It removes the middleman so you can actually talk to your fans.
